Vaughan is where Turk Lafci Real Estate is based and where most of our sales happen. The city is really five distinct communities: Woodbridge in the west, Kleinburg’s village and estates to the north-west, Maple in the centre, Thornhill along Yonge Street and Concord around the new downtown at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

Housing is dominated by detached homes built from the 1980s onward on lots you rarely find inside Toronto, with newer townhome communities and a growing condo skyline at VMC. Two GO stations on the Barrie line (Maple and Rutherford), the Line 1 subway terminus and Highways 400, 407 and 427 make the commute workable in every direction. Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital opened in 2021 on Major Mackenzie Drive.

Schools are York Region District School Board and York Catholic; several of the province’s top-ranked elementary schools are in Vaughan. Ask us for the catchment map for any street.
