King City is the largest village in King Township, the rural municipality between Vaughan and Newmarket on the Oak Ridges Moraine. It is estate country: homes on acreage along King Road and Jane Street, horse farms, and newer luxury subdivisions close to the village centre and the GO station.
Seneca Polytechnic’s King Campus and the historic Eaton Hall are on the eastern edge; The Country Day School and Villanova College draw families from across the region. Highway 400 is a few minutes west, and King City GO on the Barrie line puts Union Station about an hour away by train.
