Stouffville is the urban part of Whitchurch-Stouffville, on the north-east edge of Markham. The Main Street has kept its small-town shops and the heritage railway station; around it, subdivisions built since the early 2000s have made it one of the fastest-growing towns in the region, with detached homes and townhomes at prices below Markham.

Stouffville GO is the end of the Stouffville line, so trains start empty here and run direct to Union. Highway 404 and 48 are the road links, and Musselman’s Lake and Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area are the weekend destinations.
