Richmond Hill runs north along Yonge Street from Highway 7 to the Oak Ridges Moraine. The southern half is established suburbia: Mill Pond and the old village core, Bayview Hill’s larger homes near the 404, and the condo corridor building up around Richmond Hill Centre where the Yonge subway extension is planned. The northern half, Oak Ridges and Jefferson, is newer and greener, with Lake Wilcox and moraine trails at the end of the street.

Schools are a major reason people buy here; Bayview Secondary and Richmond Hill High School are perennially among the most requested in the region. The Richmond Hill GO line runs from Richmond Hill station to Union, Viva Blue covers Yonge, and Highway 404 handles the drive.
