Mississauga is the largest city in Peel and the seventh largest in Canada. Its centre is Square One, where the Absolute towers and their neighbours form the skyline and the Hurontario LRT is being built north to Brampton; its most prized addresses are along the lake in Port Credit, Lorne Park and Mineola, where lots are large and the waterfront trail runs for kilometres.

In between are the neighbourhoods that made the city: Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Streetsville in the west, Cooksville and Applewood in the east, Malton by the airport. Two GO lines serve the south and centre, the Kitchener line stops at Malton, and every major highway in the west GTA passes through. The University of Toronto Mississauga campus and Trillium Health Partners are the major institutions.
