Oakville is where the lake, the schools and the money meet. Old Oakville and Morrison-Eastlake, south of the QEW, hold the estates and century homes along Lakeshore Road; downtown Oakville and Bronte Village are the walkable harbours with restaurants and marinas. North of the QEW, Glen Abbey, River Oaks and West Oak Trails are the family subdivisions of the 1980s to 2000s, and North Oakville above Dundas is the newest growth area of townhomes and detached homes.

Oakville and Bronte GO stations run frequent Lakeshore West trains to Union. The QEW, 403 and 407 cover driving. Sheridan College’s main campus, Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Appleby College are the institutions buyers ask about most.
